Job Title: Electrical Technician
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced electrical technician to join our maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a residential setting, with a 4 day/4 off, 4 day/2 off roster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical and instrument inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as installations to support our lead smelter operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical and instrument inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as installations.
2. Maintenance of HV and LV motors, variable speed drives, soft starters, and conveyor systems.
3. Fault-finding during electrical breakdowns, with experience on Ramsay Weighers, SMC positioners, ultrasonic level transmitters, differential pressure transmitters, and magnetic flow meters.
Requirements
* A full valid Queensland Electrical licence, with an instrumentation qualification highly preferred.
* Minimum of 4 - 6 years trade experience and expertise in using Allen Bradley Control Logic PLC and Yokogawa CS3000.
* Ability to think logically and determine favourable solutions and outcomes regarding plant and safety improvements.
* Continuous improvement, exceptional communication skills, and working within a team with a strong focus on safety.
