Role Description
This is a full‐time, on‐site role at Oracle Industries, located in Mackay Harbour, QLD, for a Workshop Electrician. The Workshop Electrician will perform day‐to‐day tasks including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, diagnosing faults, troubleshooting issues, and conducting quality tests in compliance with industry safety standards. Responsibilities also include overhauling specialised electrical equipment, supporting the design and testing of control panels, and contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of workshop operations.
Qualifications
* Desirable strong skills in Workshop Electrical Work, with the ability to install and work with electrical systems safely and effectively.
* Expertise in Maintenance & Repair, with a focus on servicing and addressing wear or damage in electrical machinery and systems.
* Proficiency in Troubleshooting to detect, isolate, and resolve technical and operational electrical issues.
* Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles to support design, testing, and enhancements of electrical systems.
* Familiarity with explosion‐protected equipment (e.g., Ex d, Ex e, Ex t) and related standards is highly desirable.
* Commitment to safety standards (e.g., ISO 9001 certified systems knowledge) and experience with safe workplace practices.
* Trade qualification or relevant certification as an Electrician is required; additional training in ANZEx or equivalent certifications is a plus.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to a dynamic, fast‐paced industrial environment.
