**About the role**
As the Ground Control and Water Specialist, you will provide delivery assurance for hydrogeological and geotechnical investigations and site operational Ground Control and Water Management Plans across Mineral Resources Lithium operating sites.
In this position you'll:
- Provide support and coverage to the site based Technical services teams with geotechnical monitoring, hazard management and reporting duties.
- Support implementation of growth and sustaining projects assisting with the scoping, logistics and execution of field investigations.
- Install, proactively maintain and operate monitoring equipment (including radars, extensometers, prism monitoring, piezos, data loggers) and telemetry networks.
- Support the construction and installation of monitoring infrastructure where required at new monitoring locations.
- Collect photogrammetry data using UAV drone methods to provide the basis for geotechnical mapping and design reconciliation.
- Assist hydrogeologists with mine dewatering, water supply, ground and surface water management activities.
- Log hydrogeological/geotechnical bores and create bore completion diagrams.
- Maintain and correct hydrogeological and geotechnical monitoring databases.
- Support hydrogeological drilling campaigns for monitoring and dewatering bore installations, including routine maintenance and data collection of installed bore infrastructure.
**Necessary skills and qualifications**:
- Experience in an open pit environment
- Qualifications in Geoscience, Environmental Science, Mechanics and Electronics is well regarded
- Collaborative and service orientated approach with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in a distributed team
