Electrical and Automation Engineer Job Opportunity
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Automation Engineer to join our team in Smithtown, NSW. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance on the design, installation, maintenance, operation, and upgrade of our factory's electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the factory's electrical infrastructure from design to installation, maintenance, operation, improvement, and upgrade
* Participate in capital investments projects ensuring that technical solutions meet corporate and market standards
* Prepare user and technical specifications
* Ensure process and equipment safety for people, products, and environment
* Develop deep insights of processes and continuously strive for improvement of quality, safety, or efficiency while protecting technological know-how and competitive advantage
* Supervise and coordinate automation and MES maintenance and project work by electricians and contractors
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree or diploma qualified with solid electrical and automation experience
* Minimum 3 years automation and/or MES engineer with electrical experience
* Experience in personnel supervision of technical teams, contractors, or other third parties
* Participation in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Proficient in installation, programming, and troubleshooting of Allen Bradley PLCs and variable speed drives
* Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning, and/or maintenance execution desired but not required
