We offer: Attractive salary including salary packagingAs part of a multidisciplinary Mental Health Service delivering high quality mental health care and in accordance with Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Staff Specialist - Consultant Psychiatrist:Provides a comprehensive general adult Consultation-Liaison (CL) psychiatric service in the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) and associated facilities, including the Emergency Department (ED) and the Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU).Acts as a consultant to mental health professionals, and health service providers including RHH medical staff, general practitioners and other agencies, with regard to the assessment and management of individuals with mental health disorders.Undertakes supervisory responsibilities with psychiatric registrars and other medical staff as required and appropriate.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. Specialist Medical Practitioners Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packagingPlease note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $300,216 -$310,389 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award.Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022In addition, the following allowances and benefits, calculated on the salaried incremental point, may be available:Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year.Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance of $28,389 per annum, pro rata.Subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of base salary plus on-call, pro rata of additional payment will be paid from (PPS). If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid.Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,480 per annum.Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.Professional development and accelerated pathways.A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.Fitness Passport - You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Other allowances as applicable. Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
