At Forney Enterprises, we are a forward-thinking organization operating in the kava industry specializing in kava powdered products.
We have a unique casual role available for someone who is very knowledgeable with Accounts Payable end to end. Someone who loves a puzzle, thrives on ticking off a list and someone who loves getting accounts up to date, highly accurate and seeing the result of this when analysing the output.
You will have the opportunity to travel to Espiritu Santo with the founder as part of this role. Working through records on site and then bringing relevant documentation back to home base on the Sunshine Coast.
Key Responsibilities:
* Invoice analysis and coding:
Working through boxes of hard copy invoices, understanding what the invoice is for and then finding the corresponding record in MYOB. Where the record is not in MYOB, enter it accurately and efficiently.
* Reconstructing accounts in MYOB:
Work on the record in MYOB to reconstruct each item to match the updated General Ledger
* Fixed Asset reconciliation:
Ensure the item is recorded as a fixed asset in MYOB and that it has been expensed correctly. Review the Fixed Asset register and match back against the hard copy invoice and the MYOB record.
* Data Validation & Auditing:
Conduct regular audits and validation checks to ensure data integrity and to identify discrepancies, minimizing the risk of errors or duplication in the data.
* Data Analysis:
Utilize basic analytical tools to identify patterns and trends in large datasets, and present these insights in clear, actionable formats.
What we're looking for
* A minimum of 3 years current experience in Accounts Payable and reconciliation
* Exposure to fixed asset registers and a demonstrated understanding of the importance of them
* Experience managing and entering large volumes of data with a focus on accuracy and speed.
* Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and consistency with every entry and analysis.
* Proficiency in basic data analysis using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas), with an understanding of SQL or other data manipulation tools being a plus.
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and present data insights.
* A solid understanding of working in corporate settings where attention to data privacy, compliance, and security is critical.
