About the role
As Property Officer, you will be a valued member of the Property Services team, supporting the coordination, investigation, and administration of a wide range of land dealings.
In this role, you will contribute to engagement on State land matters as well as supporting leasing activities across Council‑owned and managed assets.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Process applications for owner's consent relating to community grants for leased facilities, as well as development applications impacting Council-owned or managed land
* Conduct investigations and prepare documentation for matters such as disposal of access restriction strips and other property dealings
* Undertake due diligence and property research, identifying current and future risks and providing technical advice in decision‑making on key property matters
* Prepare briefing notes to support the effective operational management of Council's property portfolio
* Collaborate with the team to prepare property dealing documentation including State Government forms, leases, licences, consents, agreements and easements and coordinate related lodgements and registrations

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Experience in property/legal transactions or government environment
* Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Local Government or Business Administration desirable
* Current Queensland C class driver's licence
* High attention to detail with strong time‑management skills, clear written communication, ability to provide technical advice, and capability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
