About the Role
We are seeking a Student Engineer to contribute to the assessment, planning, and delivery of civil infrastructure repairs after natural disasters.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a second or third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree accredited under the Washington Accord or double degree including Civil Engineering.
This role is equivalent to PO1.1 ($32.10ph + super). It involves supporting senior engineers and project managers with both office-based tasks and fieldwork across South East Queensland.
Part-time 2-3 days per week during semesters and full-time during Uni holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in assessing roads and infrastructure damaged by natural disasters.
* Support field inspections and document condition reports.
* Help prepare project documents, drawings, schedules, and cost reports.
* Assist with technical analysis, design reviews, and contractor coordination.
* Contribute to safety, environmental, and cultural heritage assessments.
* Enter project data and help manage digital files in systems.
* Join site visits and assist with quality assurance and construction monitoring.
Requirements
* Currently in your 2nd or 3rd year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent under the Washington Accord.
* Interest in civil infrastructure, disaster recovery, and resilient design.
* Current Class C Driver's License.
* Willing and able to work in both office and field environments.
