Medina Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School located in Kwinana, catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Medina PS values its rich cultural diversity and places strong importance on family and community connections. Students of all ages learn and play happily together in both the classroom and playground, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Class sizes are small and classrooms are well resourced.
Medina PS offers specialist programs in Science, Art, Digital Technologies and Languages Other Than English (LOTE). The school also has a strong partnership with the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO), with students participating in the Crescendo Music Program. The Role
As a School Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our school and play a key role in providing high-quality administrative support. Your responsibilities will include greeting students, families and visitors, answer the telephone, and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information.
The successful applicant should have a friendly, positive and caring attitude and possess the qualities needed to promote excellence within our school. You will ideally be able to build positive relationships and interact effectively with parents and the wider school community.
You should also display good attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines, and the capacity to work effectively within a team environment. This role focuses on modelling high-quality customer and administrative support service delivery, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with the administration team, school support staff, teaching staff and the broader school community.
In addition, you would support student-related activities such as assisting with student enrolment procedures and operate a range of software packages particularly databases and word processing. A strong knowledge of Compass would be highly desirable.
Please note this permanent part-time position (0.8 FTE) will be worked across five days per week.
