Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee financial records, reconciliations, and compliance with taxation obligations (PAYG, GST, FBT).
\
* Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance governance and reporting.
\
* Provide expert financial advice to improve systems, efficiency, and decision-making.
\
* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team in a positive, inclusive environment.
\

Requirements:

* Proven public sector experience in a similar financial management role.
\
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
\
* Expertise in financial governance, reporting, and continuous improvement.
\
* Team leadership with a customer-focused approach.
\

Your Team and Network:
\
Work closely with Finance and Funding Division staff.
\
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organisation.
\
Engage with external partners, including the Auditor-General's Department and the Department of Treasury and Finance.

Qualifications:

* Tertiary qualification in accounting, business, or commerce.
\
* Desirable: Membership or progress towards a professional accounting body qualification.
