Business Development Specialist — Cosmetics & Pharmaceutical (B2B)

Package: OTE: $132,500–$145,000 (includes base $90,000–$100,000 + target bonus $42,500-$45,000) + fully serviced car + mobile + laptop.
Weltrade Packaging is seeking a Business Development Specialist to hunt new business and own the Cosmetics & Pharmaceutical segment. You'll build pipeline, win new customers, and grow key accounts, combining face-to-face relationship building with structured outbound activity (calls, emails, Zoom meetings).
What you'll do
Own the Cosmetics & Pharma segment
* Build and execute a segment plan (targets, pipeline, account growth)
* Identify and win new customers across brands, manufacturers and contract fillers
* Grow existing accounts via range expansion, volume growth and relationship depth
Outbound + consultative selling
* Prospect daily: calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach and referral generation
* Book and run discovery calls and Zoom meetings
* Present tailored solutions, samples, proposals and commercial offers
* Manage longer-cycle opportunities (lead times and sales cycles up to ~12 weeks
Field activity & travel
* Visit SE QLD customers regularly as part of a planned schedule
* Quarterly interstate travel for key customers, prospects and industry events
Sales discipline
* Maintain a clean, accurate CRM pipeline and forecast
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and great customer outcomes
* Track competitor activity and market trends; share insights with leadership
What we're looking for
Must-have
* Proven B2B business development experience (cosmetics/pharma/packaging/manufacturing ideal)
* Minimum 3-5 years of B2B business development experience required
* Strong hunter mindset with evidence of new business wins
* Confident communication: phone, Zoom and in-person
* CRM competence and pipeline management discipline
* Able to work autonomously and follow a structured sales process
* Australian work rights required for this position
Highly regarded
* Knowledge of manufacturing, lead times, specs, and/or regulatory environments
* Existing industry network in cosmetics/pharma supply chains
* Formal sales training and/or relevant degree
