Accounts Payable Officer Salary: $79,122 – $96,073 (plus superannuation) Employment Type: Ongoing Usual Hours of Work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual Work Location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (flexibility may be available) The Role The Accounts Payable Officer is part of the Financial, Investment and Procurement Branch within the Corporate Services Group. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, the role provides financial, administrative and clerical support across DJSIR. The position is responsible for processing supplier invoices, supporting grant payment activities, maintaining supplier information and delivering high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes, including complex invoice matching, and contribute positively to a collaborative and customer-focused team environment. Main Accountabilities Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner, including triaging the accounts payable mailbox and responding to stakeholder queries Enter and validate invoices using the Department's Intelligent Document Reader (IDR) system and process manual invoice uploads as required Support grant-related payment activities, including triaging and responding to queries Follow up unreleased invoices, investigate issues and work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies Maintain supplier records and provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team activities and projects as required The Team The Accounts Payable Officer is part of the Financial, Investment and Procurement Branch within the Corporate Services Group, which supports best practice financial management, governance and procurement across the department.
