We are seeking a General Manager – Rise by Talent to lead the continued growth and impact of the initiative across Australia and New Zealand. This role is responsible for building strong employer partnerships, facilitating the delivery of Rise programs, leading the Rise team, and ensuring the sustainable operation and expansion of the initiative.
This role reports to the Global CEO and Global COO of Talent.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Lead the execution and ongoing evolution of the Rise by Talent strategy, identifying opportunities for growth, new partnerships and expanded program impact across Talent's global ecosystem
Identify opportunities to expand the reach and impact of Rise across new partners, industries and locations
Contribute to the positioning and visibility of Rise within the technology and corporate community
Employer Partnerships
Develop and evolve strategic employer partnerships that create internship, work experience and employment pathways for Rise participants
Work closely with Talent's client network to identify opportunities for program collaboration and graduate placement
Secure work experience sponsors and employer partners who are willing to host participants during program placements
Establish post-placement employment pathways, working with employers to convert work experience opportunities into longer-term employment outcomes where possible
Maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, ensuring positive outcomes for both participants and employers
Identify and engage corporate sponsors and funding contributors who support Rise through program sponsorship, training support or employment initiatives
Program Delivery & Facilitation
Delivery and facilitation of Rise career programs, focused on preparing participants for entry-level roles in the technology and digital sectors
Facilitate key program sessions including professional development, workplace readiness and career development
Ensure a high-quality participant experience and strong engagement throughout each program cohort
Continuously refine and improve existing program content and structure based on participant feedback, employer needs and outcomes
Oversee participant selection, engagement and transition into employment pathways
Funding & Partnership Development
Develop and grow corporate sponsorship and funding partnerships that support the delivery and expansion of Rise programs
Identify new funding pathways through corporate sponsorship, employer contributions and philanthropic partnerships
Work with existing partners to deepen their engagement through multi-year sponsorship, program support or employment commitments
Ensure strong stewardship and ongoing engagement with funding partners
Operations & Delivery
Oversee the day-to-day operations of Rise programs including participant recruitment, scheduling and partner coordination
Work collaboratively with internal Talent teams to support program delivery and employer engagement
Ensure efficient program delivery and strong operational management
Develop the annual operating budget for Rise by Talent aligned to program delivery and growth objectives
Present the budget to the Rise Board for review and approval
Manage the Rise P&L against the approved budget
Monitor program costs, sponsorship contributions and operational expenditure to ensure sustainable delivery
Provide financial updates and reporting to the Rise Board and Talent leadership
Governance & Reporting
Provide regular updates and impact reporting to the Rise advisory board and Talent leadership
Track program outcomes including participation, employment pathways and partner engagement
Ensure appropriate governance and accountability across Rise initiatives
Provide leadership and guidance to the Rise team across Australia and New Zealand
Work with regional leadership to ensure alignment between Rise programs across locations
Foster a collaborative, purpose-driven and high-performing team environment
