Your new company
This prominent federal agency is delivering key national programs that have a direct impact on the wellbeing of Australians. Due to increased program activity, an opportunity has become available for an experienced commercially-minded Procurement Officer to join the team on a long-term labour hire contract to support the end-to-end procurement of a multi-million dollar programme.
Your new role
Working as part of a collaborative small project team, you will provide specialised support across procurement, commercial activity, and project coordination. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading end to end procurement processes, including documentation preparation and approach to market activities
* Coordinating evaluation panels and preparing high quality procurement and assessment reports
* Monitoring procurement timelines, budgets, and contract performance
* Supporting contract negotiations, reviews, and execution
* Providing project support to ensure deliverables align with program requirements
* Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
* Contributing to broader project and operational tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, or financial/commercial administration within an APS setting
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Excellent organisational capability and confidence in managing competing priorities
* Sound judgement, initiative, and an ability to work both independently and within a team
* Experience working in project environments, including interpreting financial or risk documentation and document control.
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications in procurement or project management
* Familiarity with government processes or large scale program delivery
