The Role
Whitsunday Anglican School is seeking applications from outstanding music educators who are committed to nurturing creativity and excellence in our students. With a strong focus on music education, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Music Teacher (Primary) to join our team. If you love working with young musicians and have the ability to teach and inspire primary school students, we want to hear from you.
An ability to contribute to the School’s thriving Instrumental programme in your speciality area will also be advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Delivering engaging and inspiring music lessons to students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring for students, helping them develop technical skills, musicianship, and a love of music.
- Prepare students for performances, assessments, and exams.
- Collaborate with other music staff on school events, concerts and recitals.
- Showcase your own skills through involvement and participation in school events, musicals and concerts.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and fun learning environment that encourages students of all abilities to thrive.
- Maintain accurate student progress records and provide regular feedback back to students and parents.
Skills and experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with Music Staff, delivering music programmes across the School
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Registration with Queensland College of Teachers or the ability to gain
- Demonstrated high-level organisational, networkingand problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated use of initiative, with the ability to anticipate the needs of a School organisation
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills, who has the ability to engage andinspire
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
