Chief Information and Digital Officer University of New England, Armidale, NSWLead Digital Transformation Partner for Strategic Innovation Drive Regional and Global Impact The University of New England (UNE) is seeking a forward-thinking and strategic digital leader to join its leadership team as Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO).
This is an exciting opportunity to play a transformative role in a university committed to regional impact and global innovation.
As a key member of the leadership team, the CIDO will drive the evolution of UNE's technology roadmap and digital capabilities to enable and enhance the University's core mission in teaching, research, and regional engagement.
Reporting to the Executive Director Future Students, Engagement and Technology, this leadership role oversees a team of approximately 100 staff, manages a $35 M operating budget, and leads a technology portfolio that underpins UNE's success.
This role will ensure that the current and future technology infrastructure for the University is fit for purpose, helping to shape key institutional strategic technology initiatives to support UNE's unconventional drive to embrace its technological future.
You will: Lead the transformation of UNE's core technology functions, including client services, cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, and enterprise AI, to optimise service delivery and digital performance across the University.
Collaborate with academic and executive leaders to embed cutting-edge digital solutions and support the University's ambitious teaching and research agenda.
Optimise Strategic Vendor Partnerships by leading commercial negotiations and contracting with key vendors to maximise value and performance.
