About the Opportunity
This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to the design and delivery of a brand-new service within the culturally rich and diverse South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) community.

The ideal candidate for this Level 3 Occupational Therapist position is a skilled, empathetic, and independent professional dedicated to delivering person-centred end-of-life care in a culturally diverse community. They will demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and adopt a comprehensive, holistic approach to assist clients and their families through this profoundly important and delicate time.

Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney.

These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations, offering specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities.

With over 800 dedicated staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, the service ensures high-quality care close to where people live.

How to Apply

- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services for End of Life Care patients, carers/ families
- Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of junior staff and/or students.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
