About The Role
As a Casual Administration Officer, you will provide efficient and professional administrative support across the North West Hospital and Health Service. This role plays an important part in ensuring safe, high‑quality care by assisting patients, staff, and external stakeholders while upholding NWHHS values, policies and service standards.
* Deliver front‑line reception and customer service, including answering enquiries, managing appointments, and supporting patient flow.
* Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, record management, mail handling, stock ordering, and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
* Use relevant Queensland Health systems (HBCIS, S4HANA, The Viewer, Microsoft Office suite) to complete patient registration, admissions/discharges, and administrative tasks.

Requirements
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.

*About Normanton*

Normanton is 680 kilometres west of Cairns, and 500 kilometres north of Mount Isa.
