MMC Australia is seeking Qualified Fitters to join our team in Darwin, NT, for upcoming site project works.
This is a casual role that will involve performing a range of fitting and machining tasks.
What you'll be doing
Undertake a variety of fitting and machining tasks, including assembly, disassembly, installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and technical manuals to complete work to specification
Use hand and power tools, as well as specialized machinery, to fabricate, modify and repair components
Perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with other tradespeople and technicians to solve complex problems
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work completed
Adhere to all safety procedures and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
Completion of a recognized trade qualification in Fitting, Turning or Machining
Several years of hands-on experience as a Fitter, ideally within the Trades & Services industry
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and specifications
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, as well as specialized machinery
Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Excellent attention to detail and robust organizational skills
Extensions/casual works in our Darwin Workshop for suitable candidates.
MUST BE located in the NT to complete a pre-employment medical and canvass to site.
We do not offer relocation for this role.
