At ACH Group we are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within our Payroll team.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Customer Experience
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Drive customer-focused improvements
- Increase the likelihood of customers promoting our services
2. Payroll Process Management
- Input salary, wage data, and supporting documentation for new and existing employees
- Data entry of timesheets and updating rosters
- Process standard and manual pay, including back pays and termination payments
- Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of payroll parameters, including shift types, overtime, and penalty rates
- Resolve and validate timesheets in consultation with timesheet owners, and escalate consistent issues to relevant leaders
3. Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Support the Payroll Manager in quality assurance
- Identify and assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Learn from errors in payroll processing and prevent future issues
4. Team Engagement
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service delivery
- Actively participate in team meetings and team-building activities
5. Service Delivery
- Respond to payroll queries in a timely and solution-focused manner
- Work closely with the People and Culture team for accurate processing of pays
- Continuously seek ways to improve customer service delivery
**Selection Criteria**:Essential**:
- Proven experience in payroll within a medium to large organisation
- Strong knowledge of interpreting awards and enterprise agreements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and manage multiple priorities
- Resilience and the ability to work under pressure
- A National Criminal History Record Check no older than 12 months
**Desirable**:
- Certificate III in Financial Services
- Experience in aged care or not-for-profit sectors
- Experience with systems such as MYOB PayGlobal, CIM, ComCare or 2cloudnine
