Overview
Barbicrew Bondi Pty Ltd are looking for an experienced and qualified Chef for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week in Bondi NSW 2026.
Responsibilities
* Developing, reviewing, and implementing new menu considering seasonal produce, costs, and food supplies.
* Manage food preparation and kitchen staff to ensure dishes are delivered in a timely matter and according to our quality standard.
* Ensure dietary requirement are met during food preparation following customer's order and/or instructions of waiters and manager.
* Training new and existing kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, plating of dishes, and food handling procedures following hygiene and food safety guidelines.
* Preparing and cooking dishes according to customer's orders.
* Recruitment, selection, and induction of new kitchen staff.
Qualifications
* A Certificate IV in Kitchen Management/Commercial Cookery or relevant higher qualification with at least one year full-time experience working in a Chef role. This formal qualification can be substituted by at least three years of work experience in a Chef role.
* Attributes such as the ability to performance under pressure working as a Chef will be highly regarded.
