ConsultANZ is seeking a Marine Superviso r for a major marine infrastructure project in Wellington, New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating vessel and barge operations, managing maritime safety, and ensuring compliance with marine regulations on a large-scale ferry terminal development project. Main Duties: Manage maritime safety across all marine operations on site. Coordinate the movement and operation of jack-up barges, construction barges, material barges, and service vessels. Liaise with Harbour Masters, port authorities, shipping operators, and other marine stakeholders. Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, permits, and safety requirements. Oversee marine exclusion zones and vessel traffic management. Coordinate marine logistics and vessel scheduling to support construction activities. Monitor and manage marine risks and safety incidents. Work closely with construction teams to ensure safe and efficient marine operations. Provide guidance on vessel movements and marine operational planning. Maintain effective communication between marine and project teams. Requirements: 8 years of experience in marine operations, marine construction, or a similar environment. Strong understanding of maritime regulations, marine safety, and vessel operations. Experience working on marine construction projects such as ports, wharves, jetties, breakwaters, or ferry infrastructure. Knowledge of jack-up barge operations and marine logistics. Experience liaising with Harbour Masters, port authorities, and marine stakeholders. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to identify and manage marine operational risks. Maritime qualifications or relevant marine certifications are advantageous. Benefits: Competitive salary package $140k - $170k base car, negotiable based on experience.
