Roster: 8 days on & 6 days off, FIFO ex Perth
Fortescue is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Field Technicians to join Fortescue's Resource Definition teams!
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct escorts in the AOZ.
* Work compliant with Fortescue standards and statutory obligations.
* Support resource definition Geologists and Earthworks in their work and complete tasks as requested.
* Investigate and correct reconciliations returned from the laboratories.
* Dispatch samples to the laboratory.
* Fulfill performance objectives and KPI's.
* Record sample bag numbers and enter correctly into the database.
* Provide initiatives for process improvements to supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in a similar role in open pit mining is highly regarded.
* Forklift license highly regarded.
* Proactive, highly motivated and enthusiastic. Willing to take on new challenges, work in a physically demanding job and learn new skills.
* A team player with a 'can do' and collaborative attitude.
* Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and capable of building strong multi-departmental relationships.
* Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
* High attention to detail.
