Position Details

* Term: Fixed-term, full-time basis to 31 December 2026
* Remuneration: $111,341 to $120,557 pa (HEW6) (inclusive of $94,084 to $101,872 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
* Location: Kelvin Grove

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Learning Technologist to join the Learning and Teaching Unit, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.

As a Learning Technologist, you will be responsible for supporting staff to engage with QUT's educational technologies and for producing quality digital media resources. Operating as a key member of the Educational Technologies and Digital Media Services team you will work collaboratively with learning designers and other colleagues across the Learning and Teaching Unit, Digital Business Solutions, HiQ support and other key stakeholders to support academics in the design and implementation of quality learning and teaching. This includes the development of sustainable and accessible high quality educational resources that incorporate relevant and contemporary technologies and practices. You will support academics in leveraging current and emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to enhance their teaching practices and improve the learning experience for students.

What You Need To Succeed

* Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree in a relevant field together with subsequent relevant experience in educational technologies, technology support and digital media production in a higher education environment.
* Proven digital literacy and demonstrated experience using educational technologies including learning management systems, assessment tools, video platforms, interactive and other educational technologies.
* Proven experience in the design and production of educational digital media resources and activities in relation to course and unit learning outcomes.
* Demonstrated understanding of learning approaches and how they relate to the achievement of learning outcomes.
* Proven ability to answer, prioritise, resolve, escalated and/or redirect user support requests and to test educational technologies within a high volume, high‐pressure environment.
* Demonstrated high standard of communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a range of stakeholders to support educational technologies and in the development of learning content.
