Job Description
This position is part of a cutting-edge research project focused on investigating the cultural preconditions and consequences of artificial cooling and freezing technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct multi-sited ethnographic case studies across three domains: space cooling, biomedicine, and food supply (beef).
* Collaborate in developing an online atlas on the cryosphere and its cultural phenomena.
* Co-curate and manage a multimedia archive related to cryogenic cultures.
Requirements
You will have a PhD in anthropology, STS, sociology, history, human geography, or a related discipline, with significant experience in ethnographic or qualitative social science fieldwork.
Familiarity with German language is desirable but not mandatory.
