Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to oversee and lead the operations activities of our Network Operations Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day coordination, monitoring, and performance.
* You will liaise with Executives, third-party technicians, and external clients and customers.
* The role can be located in either Brisbane or Melbourne.
About the Role
Operational Management
* You will oversee, operate and configure our global network and support systems.
* Ensure continual process improvement within the NOC including automation tasks and reporting, implementation of enterprise-wide monitoring initiatives, and routine administration tasks.
* Manage and provide hands-on technical support related to the overall health and maintenance of multiple environments.
* Resolve Incidents across supported services, specialising in IP and Transmission technologies.
* Perform tier-2 and 3 escalation support as the point of contact in the NOC for all inquiries from Senior Leadership and other Managers.
* Communicate network security, health, and status to internal and external stakeholders.
* Troubleshoot, restore services, and analyse system delivery.
* Monitor critical infrastructure, including fibre, transmission, switch/routing assets, and inventory spares.
* Investigate network alerts, hardware malfunctions, and outages, completing post-incidence reports.
* Define, implement, and enforce configuration management and change management policies.
Team Resource Management
* You will oversee workflow distribution across the NOC team to maintain efficiency and responsiveness.
* Ensure effective completion of proactive and reactive operational tasks through prioritisation, allocation, progression, resourcing, and escalation.
* Interact with the team for quality, performance, and improvement on network operations and infrastructure.
* Provide expertise, advice, and guidance within the network operations function.
* You will oversee team roster and task allocation, ensuring adequate coverage.
* Monitor team compliance with operational processes and escalate non-compliance to Management.

* You have demonstrated knowledge of network deployment and infrastructure, with excellent troubleshooting skills.
* You possess high-level customer relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* You have excellent time management and organisational skills.
* You can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, manage, and meet deadlines.
* You have solid knowledge of a telecoms operational environment.
* You understand transmission/long-haul-subsea-optical networks.
