Job Title: Care and Support Professional
We are seeking experienced and committed Care and Support Professionals to provide home care services in the Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula region.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. They must demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect.
* A passion for assisting the elderly to remain independent in their own homes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Certificate III in Aged Care (desired for Carer services)
* Current Certificates in First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain
* Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
* Driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
* Willingness to undertake training, including hoists and assisting with medications
* Eligibility to work in Australia
This role includes providing personal care requiring manual handling, domestic assistance, social support, meal preparation, medication assistance and transportation. The successful applicant will have a strong focus on delivering high-quality care that prioritises the needs of our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
* Providing direct care and support to clients in their own homes
* Assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing and toileting
* Preparing meals and snacks
* Assisting with medication administration
* Transporting clients to appointments and outings
* Maintaining accurate records of client interactions and care provided
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications and experience in aged care or a related field
* Current first aid and CPR certificates
* Current national police check
* Driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
