At St Martins Lutheran College, our Year Level Leaders play a pivotal role in shaping a positive and connected student experience. As the Year 7 Year Level Leader, you will lead the wellbeing, engagement, and learning progress of students in their first year of secondary school – a year that is both exciting and formative. Working closely with Home Group and subject teachers, you’ll foster a culture of high expectations, belonging, and care, while guiding students through this important transition.
Salary: 86,949 – 120,382 p.a. (depending on experience), plus an additional allowance of 5,670.72 for the Year Level Leader role.

Responsibilities
- Lead the wellbeing, engagement, and learning progress of Year 7 students, in their first year of secondary school.
- Collaborate with Home Group and subject teachers to foster a culture of high expectations, belonging, and care, and guide students through the transition to secondary schooling.
- Step into leadership while continuing to make an impact in the classroom: for two years, serve as the Year 7 Year Level Leader (0.3 FTE) alongside an ongoing 0.7 FTE teaching position; at the conclusion, continue at the College in a full-time 1.0 FTE teaching role.
- Influence year-level programs, coordinate key events, and strengthen partnerships with families and the wider school community.
- Mentor and support colleagues to respond confidently to student wellbeing and engagement needs.
