Job Description
This role plays a pivotal part in shaping Gippsland's future transport system to support a prosperous, connected, and liveable Victoria.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders including regional industries, government agencies, freight operators, local councils, and communities to drive integrated land use and transport planning.
* Provide strategic advice by contributing analysis to major projects such as the Bairnsdale Planning Study and Drouin-Warragul Arterial Road Network Planning Project. Prepare clear briefings, reports, and recommendations.
* Engage with key stakeholders to support integrated transport planning.
* Collaborate across departments and government to align transport and land-use planning, meet project timelines, and deliver regional initiatives. Support inclusion through meaningful engagement with Aboriginal communities.
* Monitor emerging trends and provide advice to keep transport plans current and responsive to changes in demand, technology, and community expectations.
