As part of our dedication to maintaining a secure, robust and reliable IT infrastructure, we are seeking a talented IT Infrastructure Technician to join our team.
The Role
As an IT Infrastructure Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimisation of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem‐solving skills, and a passion for technology.
Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, networks, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Windows, Linux).
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform proactive maintenance to ensure uptime.
* Manage user and client lifecycle: onboarding/offboarding staff, device setup, licensing, and Redcat application provisioning.
* Support and maintain internal IP networks, DNS, DHCP, and wired/wireless configurations.
* Assist in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, deployments, and project support with cross‐functional teams.
* Ensure compliance with security protocols, manage backups, disaster recovery, and respond to security incidents.
* Maintain accurate documentation and recommend process or technology improvements.
* Provide onsite and remote support, including occasional after‐hours maintenance.
Key Skills
* 1+ years' experience in Cloud Platform, DevOps, or Operations Technician role.
* Tertiary IT qualification or equivalent industry experience.
* Linux and Windows systems administration.
* SQL database management.
* Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
* Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Node.js (or similar).
* Networking & core internet protocols.
* Microsoft Server 2012/2016.
