Overview

PERSOL have partnered with a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation in WA that delivers specialist services to children, young people and families affected by trauma, abuse and family domestic violence. We are seeking an experienced, purpose-driven and people-centred Service Manager to lead programs across the southern metro region, with responsibility across sites in Rockingham and Armadale.

The opportunity

This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee the delivery and ongoing development of trauma-informed programs supporting children, young people and families through different stages of recovery. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team and play an instrumental role ensuring services are personalised, culturally responsive and high quality and genuinely centred around the needs of children and families. The role also has a strong operational focus, with responsibility for service performance, team leadership, quality outcomes, compliance and continuous improvement. Along the way, you'll build strong relationships internally and externally, contribute to service growth and help create a positive, collaborative and child-focused team culture.

Responsibilities

* Leading service delivery across programs supporting children and families impacted by trauma, abuse and domestic violence
* Managing and supporting a multidisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes
* Overseeing day-to-day operational performance including budgets, compliance and service quality
* Driving continuous improvement across programs and processes
* Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders and partner agencies
* Contributing to service development and helping shape best practice across the portfolio

What we\'re looking for

This role will suit someone who brings both strong leadership capability, tertiary qualification in relevant discipline and a genuine commitment to trauma-informed, child-centred practice. To be considered, you\'ll ideally have:

* A relevant 4-year tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Human Services, Social Sciences, Community Development or similar. A postgraduate qualification would be well regarded, though it is not essential.
* At least 3 years\' experience in a leadership or management role within community services, child protection, out-of-home care or a related sector
* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing service delivery in a complex environment
* Exposure to operational budgets, performance oversight and compliance responsibilities
* Strong understanding of working with children, young people and families impacted by trauma and adverse life experiences
