**The Role**
Reporting to the Production Manager, the
**Switchroom Production Manager's** key focus will be on maintaining and improving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to enhance the manufacturing performance in terms of quality, safety & productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentoring and guidance to the manufacturing team to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of all staff.
- Responsible for safety and quality for all production areas including sub-contractor performance.
- Management, mentorship and development of the workforce to ensure retention, recruitment and training of high-quality tradespeople.
- Co-ordinate resources, schedules and activities to manage the production areas cost effectively.
- Coordinating the assembly of stock product levels and custom project orders.
- Communicating with suppliers & customers in production planning and day to day progress.
**About You**
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Tertiary Qualification as a Boilermaker or extensive Fabrication experience.
- Estimating or Quotation experience desired.
- Project Management qualification or experience highly desired.
- Strong supervision skills.
- Thorough understanding of regulations, legislations, ISO and occupational health and safety protocols.
- Highly developed people management skills with an ability to communicate at all levels.
- A high attention to detail and self-motivated.
- Results-oriented.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
- Computer literacy.
