About your new Role
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing month-end and financial reporting processes while supporting the wider finance function during a busy period. This is a hands-on role that will give you exposure to both technical accounting and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Month-end close, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
* Preparation of management and statutory reporting
* Oversight of balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
* Support for taxation compliance including BAS, FBT and payroll tax
* Assist with external audit requirements
* Fixed asset and capital expenditure management
* Provide financial insights and analysis to business stakeholders
* Ad hoc projects and support as required
About You
* 3-5+ years' experience in a Financial or Senior Accountant role
* CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
* Big 4 background desirable but not required
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and compliance experience
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Advanced Excel and large ERP system experience desirable
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Proactive, detail-oriented and adaptable
