About the role
As a Kitchen Supervisor at Boatshed Market, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Fresh food production facility. You will be working with and managing a team that delivers consistent high‐quality products to our store in Cottesloe. This full‐time position is based in our O'Connor, WA location. You will be responsible for delivering precision and consistency in the current offering and innovation and growth through new product development.
What you'll be doing
* Supervise and coordinate daily production activities
* Lead, train, and support a team of kitchen and production staff
* Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards are strictly followed
* Monitor product quality, consistency, and presentation
* Manage stock levels, ordering, and waste control
* Maintain production schedules to meet customer demand
* Ensure equipment is used safely and maintained properly
* Drive continuous improvement in processes and efficiency
* Cost of sale calculation and maintenance of margins
* Monitor and deliver sales and gross profit performance
* Develop new products that align with our brand and strategic direction
About You
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within food production, commercial kitchen, or similar environment
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and procedures
* Excellent leadership and team management skills
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment
* Strong organisational and problem‐solving abilities
* Reliable, hands‐on, and proactive attitude
* Flexibility with working hours (early starts may be required)
