ATSICHS Brisbane is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organisation's financial strategy and performance. In this newly created role, you will play a key part within the Executive Leadership Team and play a critical role in ensuring strong financial stewardship, compliance, and long-term sustainability across a large and growing complex Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.
About the role
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, overseeing new investment & capital initiatives, whilst ensuring robust financial governance and reporting. You will partner closely with the Board, Audit & Risk Committee, and Executive Team to support informed decision-making and organisational growth.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the financial strategy for the business whilst managing and leading a team
* Ensure compliance with all statutory & regulatory reporting
* Oversee all budgeting & cash flow forecasting for the group
* Manage all new investment initiatives
* Strengthen financial controls, risk management, and audit processes
* Oversee capital development and infrastructure funding
* Drive finance systems improvement and digital transformation
About you
You are a strategic and commercially astute finance leader with a strong track record in managing change in a growing and complex environment. You will bring both technical expertise, the ability to influence at board level whilst managing and developing a well established team. A background in large, complex not-for-profit environments, such as health / aged care / community services or even property development will be well regarded.
Essential
* CA or CPA qualification with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role
* Proven experience managing complex budgets and multi-stream funding
* Strong investment management experience highly regarded
* Demonstrated ability to lead financial strategy, risk, and compliance
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
