We are partnering with a large, complex retail business undergoing a significant period of growth and transformation to appoint a GM Product / Chief Product Officer.
This is a critical executive role, responsible for shaping and leading the organisation’s customer and digital product strategy across a large-scale omnichannel environment. The successful candidate will bring commercial rigour, execution discipline, and the ability to deliver customer outcomes at scale — not just vision decks.
The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer and working closely with the CIO/CTO, this role owns the end-to-end product vision, strategy and execution across digital, customer and online platforms. You will lead a sizeable, globally distributed product organisation and partner laterally with senior leaders across technology, online, fulfilment and operations. The business is focused on accelerating online growth, leveraging its physical footprint, and competing effectively with global digital disruptors through experience, relevance and execution - not price alone.
What You’ll Be Accountable For
* Defining and evangelising a clear, business-endorsed product vision and strategy
* Leading a combined customer and digital product function operating at scale
* Embedding a low-cost, high-velocity product operating model
* Partnering closely with technology leaders to optimise ways of working, squad performance and delivery outcomes
* Driving measurable commercial impact, including contribution to revenue growth and ROI on product investment
* Balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform and capability development
* Building and leading a high-performing, values-led product organisation across onshore and offshore teams

About You
This role requires a true GM-level product leader with B2C retail experience - someone who knows what best-in-class looks like and can deliver it in a fast-moving, value-focused retail environment.
You will bring:
* Deep digital product leadership experience (B2C retail essential)
* Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering ROI and managing product P&L outcomes
* The ability to operate in the detail while influencing laterally at executive level
* A pragmatic, adaptable approach - not a product purist
* Proven experience leading large, globally distributed teams and multiple agile squads
* The credibility to hold technology teams to account while working in close partnership
* A track record of driving step-change, not incremental improvement
