Remuneration: Band 7 salary from $115,575 per annum (pro-rata) plus superannuation
Location: Werribee based with potential for a hybrid work arrangement
Overview
Working within a dynamic and collaborative team, you will design enhancements to Wyndham's urban environment that meet the current and future needs of the community. You will contribute to the design and documentation of streetscape and open space upgrades for key Wyndham activity centres. This role offers the opportunity to influence public places and contribute to the community.
What you will do
* Design streetscape and open space upgrades for key Wyndham activity centres
* Prepare contract documentation, including specifications and tender documents and undertake the administration of contracts
* Supervise consultants in the design of projects for Council's capital works program
* Work with project managers to supervise contractors in the construction of capital works projects
* Coordinate and engage with internal and external stakeholders and the community
* Provide design services and advice for landscape and urban design projects
What you will bring
* Well-developed design and documentation skills
* Well-developed communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders
* Tertiary qualifications in landscape architecture, urban design or a related discipline
* Experience in the preparation of designs for typical Local Government streetscape projects
* Experience in the preparation of contract documentation and the production of tenders
* Experience in the supervision of contractors
* High-level CAD and graphic design program skills
* A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
