It is Victoria's major maximum-security prison for sentenced male prisoners.
The prison officially opened in January **** and currently houses up to 416 men in custody, including high security, long term management, protection (including specialist protection), general mainstream (maximum security) and medium security prisoners.About The RoleReporting to the Industry Supervisor, the Grounds and Services Officer will work within a multidisciplinary team and is required to be well organised to assist with the coordination and conduct of general routine and scheduled grounds maintenance and services in the prison.Some Of Your Duties Will IncludePicking up and delivering a wide variety of items within the prison while ensuring that schedules are adhered toLoading, unloading and preparing to inspect and operate a light delivery vehicleMaintaining existing grounds, caring for plants, assist in landscaping, and keeping walkways cleanEnsuring grounds and yards are presented in a tidy and professional appearancePlanning and organising daily work requirements to ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About YouAs our ideal candidate, you will possess:Experience in delivery of services and logisticsExperience in maintenanceDriver's license for light vehicle with competent driving skillsGood driving skills with no traffic violationsAbility to operate light machinery and vehicles.Qualifications/RequirementsCurrent Victorian Driver's LicenceMaintenance and Logistics background and experience is 'desirable'Forklift licence desirable.How To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
