About the company
HenCo Group: Move Yourself Australia, U-Haul Australia, U-Tow New Zealand

HenCo Group is a proudly Australian-owned and operated hire and rental business with over 60 years of industry experience. As a family business, we’ve grown from the ground up and now operate three iconic brands: Move Yourself, U-Haul Australia, and U-Tow New Zealand.

About the role
Built for someone who thrives on independence and variety, this is a travel-based regional role across Western Australia. As a regional Service Technician, you’ll spend time on the road servicing and maintaining our hire fleet across regional and remote communities. You’ll be trusted to manage your own runs, supported by strong systems and an experienced operations team, while playing a key role in keeping our equipment safe, compliant and hire-ready. If you enjoy autonomy, responsibility and seeing parts of WA most people don’t, this role will suit you well.

We are currently seeking an experienced mechanically minded person who will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance of our trailers on site. In our opinion, it’s the best job in our business. This person will be a self-motivated, diligent worker with a caring and ethical attitude and strong technology literacy.

The role offers a fully equipped service vehicle, to carry out routine maintenance on scheduled service runs. On-site training will be provided, and you will be required to complete all relevant third party and site inductions.

This role is full time and requires the successful candidate to be flexible with their working hours. This role involves frequent regional travel which is planned as part of scheduled service runs and supported by our operations team.

About you
Advantageous to the role is a strong mechanical ability, MIG welding experience, experience or some knowledge of trailer wiring, brake systems (mechanical and hydraulic), and wheel bearings. Ideally you will have previously worked with trailers or caravans and have a trade or trade assistant background.

Our Values

We don’t just list our values—we live them. At HenCo, we only hire team players who align with our vision and values:

Our People – We back our team and invest in their success.

Customer Focus – Our customers drive us. We go the extra mile.

Collaboration – We work together and support each other.

Growth – We’re ambitious, and we build with purpose.

Authenticity – We lead with integrity and stay true to who we are.

If this resonates with you, and you have an outstanding work ethic, and also can work both supervised and unsupervised then we'd love to hear from you.

HenCo Group is an equal-opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.

Only those successful for interviews will be contacted
