Job Details:
As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering therapy programs to clients under the guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional. Your primary responsibility will be to support clients and their families in achieving their therapy goals through individual and group therapy programs.
This is a casual position based in Warwick and surrounding areas. You will receive regular support from our Therapists both in-person and remotely. The hours available are expected to grow based on your capacity.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver therapy programs to clients as instructed by Allied Health Professionals.
* Further your experience in the disability sector while receiving ongoing support from experienced professionals.
* Act as an advocate for clients, supporting them to achieve their goals and independence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Allied Health students currently studying an allied health degree (e.g., SP, OT, DT, PT) living locally or externally.
* Certificate IV in Allied Health.
* Fully qualified and/or experienced Allied Health Assistant (min Cert III).
* A valid QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
* Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module training.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification.
* A current drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills and understanding of professional boundaries and scope of practice.
* The ability to assist in all duties and work autonomously.
