The Opportunity
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to join our Launceston team.
Our technicians provide a wide range of services, including but not limited to:
* Electrical and control system installation, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
* Instrumentation installation, configuration, calibration, and troubleshooting.
* Communication systems installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
* Installation and servicing of electrical equipment.
* Electrical design support.
* Hazardous area installation and maintenance.
* Engineering support.
Role Requirements
The successful candidate will be highly motivated to deliver innovative technology solutions. To be considered, you must possess:
* A current Electrical Practitioner's License (A-Grade Electrician).
* Instrumentation qualifications (or a willingness to be trained to Cert III in Instrumentation and Control).
* Sound knowledge of computer systems and common software.
* A current Driver's License.
* Strong safety leadership skills and a commitment to promoting safety policies.
* Reliability, initiative, and a focus on quality.
* Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening).
* Strong problem-solving skills with proven fault-finding and rectification processes.
Highly Regarded Experience
* Minimum of 5 years of qualified experience.
* Industrial/Manufacturing environment experience.
* PLC, RTU, and VFD maintenance and troubleshooting.
* SCADA system knowledge.
* Fibre Optic/CAT6 networking.
* UPS systems maintenance.
* Current High-Risk licenses (White Card, WAH, Confined Space, EWP, LF).
