Job Overview
We are seeking a Health, Safety and Risk Management Specialist to join our team at St Joseph's College.
This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week with a salary range of $38.29 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide information, advice and support on school health and safety compliance with regulatory requirements
* Conduct workplace health and safety inspections and provide recommendations for improvement
* Identify and assess health and safety risks and hazards and report to the Business Manager
* Assist staff in compiling school-based risk assessments and collate the College risk registers for consideration by the Leadership team
* Work with Health and Safety Officers to investigate incidents and provide site-specific health and safety training
* Support administrative process improvements concerning school health and safety
* Coordinate the WHS committee and manage the first aid officers including reviewing student health plans, medication forms and first aid facilities
Requirements
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in ensuring safe work practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and confidence and knowledge in using Microsoft Office suite.
They will also possess the ability to effectively manage their time and priorities, master internal systems and programmes, and demonstrate a commitment to the values of Catholic schooling.
