Job Overview:
* We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our renewable energy assets.
* This role requires excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
* You will work closely with our Engineering team to identify and implement process improvements, and collaborate with our Solar Asset Managers to ensure timely completion of work orders.
* A key aspect of this role is your ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position, as you will be working with a variety of stakeholders including subcontractors and other site personnel.
* You will also be responsible for providing regular status updates and documentation of all work performed, including daily time tracking and use of CMMS.
* In addition to your technical expertise, you must have a strong understanding of WHS protocols and be able to adhere to established safety procedures at all times.
* The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Replacement of key components such as modules and inverter components
* Maintenance of inverters or associated electrical components
* Work alongside Engineering team on SCADA
* Promptly respond to and execute necessary repairs of faulty equipment
* Interface with and management of subcontractors and other workers on site
* Continuous reporting of work status and scheduling to Regional Manager and Solar Asset Manager
* WHS reporting and adherence to WHS protocols
Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
* Minimum 2 years experience in electrical maintenance or similar role
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
* Valid driver's license
* Familiarity with CMMS software
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
