About our school

St Mark's Primary School is situated in the western suburbs of Brisbane, with an enrolment of over 440 students. It prides itself on community spirit, encouraging students to develop a knowledge of other cultures, languages and environmental and social issues.


Summary

* Salary: $86,601 – $124,725 per annum + super (commensurate with experience)

About the opportunity

* Fostering love of literacy for our students by curating, managing and promoting diverse library resources to enhance reading engagement and support curriculum goals across grade levels.
* Partnering with teachers to integrate information literacy, research skills, and digital citizenship into classroom instruction.
* Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner‑centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices.
* Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community.
* Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture.
* Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
* Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
* Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.


About you

* Creating a supportive, learner‑focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
* Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
* Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students.
* A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development.


Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements

* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
* Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
