Demonstrated experience in hazardous areas (e.g., mining, oil & gas, industrial).
Proficiency with explosive protection techniques and principles (e.g., Ex e, Ex n, Ex d, Ex i, Ex m, Ex q, Ex o, Ex tD, Ex p).
Hands-on experience in inspection of Equipment's, Barrier gland and compression cable gland Installed in Hazardous Area.
Strong understanding and Certification of relevant Australian and New Zealand standards, particularly the AS/NZS ***** series.
Experience in Creating and Maintaining Hazardous Area Verification Dossier.
Technical knowledge of all phases of construction engineering relating to a single discipline interfacing with all areas, or in a multi-discipline position assigned to a single area.
Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
Willing to adapt Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies.
Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor/subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
Additional Information:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as required that may include but not limited to nightshift or split shift.
Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces.
Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
