Job Description
As the Nurse Unit Manager you will be responsible for the provision of leadership and direction to ensure the development and maintenance of a high performing, evidence based safe and effective Medical and Radiation Oncology Service. The role operationalises strategic plans and department direction within the Medical Oncology Ward, including providing operational input into the development of these plans. Employment Details
Positions available: Permanent Full-time
Salary classification: Nursing Unit Manager Level 2
Remuneration: $***** per hour + super + annual leave loading
Incentive: Up to $2,000 relocation incentive (negotiable)
Selection Criteria
Essential
Nursing unit management or in-charge experience in an acute/subacute facility and/or ambulatory setting, able to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.
Relevant postgraduate management qualifications or experience, or working towards them.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage a team in a multidisciplinary environment with a focus on optimising patient flow.
Demonstrated ability to manage financial and human resources.
Commitment to improving health care through quality improvement and implementation of evidence-based care.
Desirable
Demonstrated cancer care experience.
Pre-employment Conditions
