Norton Gold Fields is progressing its expansion of two underground mine sites, Tuart and Enterprise, and various open pit projects, such as Federal, Jakarta, Golden Funnel, Rose Dam South, and Rose Dam North, this year.
About The Role:
The Day Services Technician is responsible for the management of all water services to the plant as well as responsible for the installation and maintenance of the irrigation system. This is an important role, as production can be halted if issues arise in managing the water services or recovering gold. The role will interact with all plant operations personnel, production crews, maintenance and regional dewatering/infrastructure services personnel.
To efficiently operate and maintain the integrity of the water services and heap irrigation pipeline installation that assists in the smooth operation of the processing plant and to participate in maintaining high housekeeping standards.
Duties
Operate various machines, including but not limited to Excavator, Bobcat, I.T. Loader, and Grader in conjunction with the civil requirements of the site.
Perform any other machine-operated tasks required.
Operate any other machines needed to support the works of the site.
Liaise with the Day Services team in daily tasks of Heap Leach earthworks.
Assist in training of new operators fo fill roles when needed.
Maintain and support a positive department, site and company-focused culture that makes Norton Gold Fields a safe and preferred place to work.
Daily inspection of work areas.
Daily inspections of machines are required to carry out tasks.
Keep the work area clean.
Maintain high housekeeping standards around the site and assist when processing plantneeded.
Conduct pre-starts on all machines required to be used and report issues to the Production Co-ordinator.
Train and develop potential operators to assist with work.
Any other duties as required.
Skills and Experience
2 to 5 years of construction or civil site experience (Essential)
Current unencumbered C/HR Western Australian Driver's Licence
Satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate
Valid work visa, permanent residency or Australian citizenship
