Our company
DiggerLid is a founder‐led company, built by two brothers, focused on creating products that make life on site easier for earthmovers. We build with a clear focus on quality, reliability and innovation in the earthmoving and trade space, developing products and a brand trusted across the industry. Our growth has come from listening closely to customers, moving quickly on opportunities, and maintaining high standards in everything we design, manufacture and deliver.
We're a lean, driven team with real momentum entering the next phase of expansion both within Australia and internationally.
Core responsibilities
We are looking for a growth leader to take full ownership of our marketing/eCommerce function and scale the business toward 8 figures sustainably and profitably. This is a leadership role with end‐to‐end responsibility for brand, acquisition, conversion, retention and team building. You will treat the marketing department as your own business unit with ownership of growth targets, budget allocation and team structure. You will operate with autonomy to design strategy, build systems, hire talent and execute as long as results are delivered.
Historically, the business has grown 50–100% YOY on founder capability. This role exists to amplify that trajectory through structured and disciplined execution.
What success looks like
Marketing operates with clear ownership, prioritisation and measurable KPIs, reducing day‐to‐day founder dependency while maintaining strong strategic collaboration.
A structured growth roadmap guides expansion across discovery, acquisition, conversion and retention channels. Paid media runs on structured testing and scalable creative pipelines, driving consistent discovery and qualified acquisition rather than ad‐hoc experimentation.
Website performance improves through data‐backed testing and optimised funnel systems that streamline the buyer journey, strengthen offer positioning and increase purchase depth on‐site.
Lifecycle marketing and retention evolve into substantial profit drivers, extending customer value beyond the first transaction and building predictable repeat revenue.
The marketing function transitions from reactive execution to a systemised, accountable growth engine capable of consistently meeting or exceeding past year‐on‐year growth.
Major promotional campaigns are planned months in advance, where precision across inventory, paid media and lifecycle channels delivers record outcomes.
About the candidate (skills & experience)
You have a proven track record of driving revenue growth across acquisition and conversion within an eCommerce business, with meaningful involvement in scaling to eight figures while protecting margin and profitability. This includes leading high‐volume sales events end‐to‐end, delivering record outcomes.
You understand growth beyond channel management, with deep experience across paid, organic and lifecycle marketing (including Meta, Google and Klaviyo) and are well‐versed in Shopify. You focus on real commercial metrics over surface‐level ROAS reporting.
You have built or led teams (in‐house staff, contractors, freelancers or agencies) and know when to execute personally versus delegate. You combine commercial judgement, data‐led thinking and a bias toward action.
You are comfortable operating in a lean, collaborative environment where ownership, working autonomously, accountability and momentum are expected.
Why join us
This role offers high trust, autonomy and ongoing performance‐based incentive. This is an opportunity to build your own marketing engine designed for long‐term, scalable growth.
This isn't a dry corporate position and you will work closely with the founders in an environment that values decisive action, rapid iteration and continuous improvement with access to industry‐leading ecommerce coaching, training and support.
We're young, ambitious and outcome‐driven. We move fast, hold a high standard and take pride in doing great work. At the same time, we value flexibility, reward performance and celebrate wins. We believe success should be both rewarding and fulfilling and we want you to enjoy the journey with us.
