Auditor of Child Safety Protocols
About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the implementation of child safety standards across our organisation. The successful candidate will oversee the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, and cultural initiatives ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and execute comprehensive child safety frameworks aligned with industry best practices
* Develop strategic plans for policy implementation, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement
* Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate child safety risks, integrating protocols into broader risk management frameworks
* Establish partnerships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and community groups to foster a culture of child safety
* Create awareness programs to educate employees on child safety policies and procedures
* Maintain records of compliance, track progress, and drive ongoing enhancements
Requirements:
* Deep understanding of relevant legislation, including the Victorian Child Safe Standards (mandatory)
* Experience in policy development, risk management, and compliance frameworks
* Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and executive leaders
* Strong training and capability-building skills to foster awareness and a child-safe culture
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to influence and implement change effectively
