The role of Mine Planning Specialist is pivotal in the operational success of our mine. This position requires an individual with a strong foundation in mine scheduling and design, as well as associated tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing medium to long term mine designs and schedules.

About the Position
\
This key role involves developing relationships with stakeholders to optimise operational productivity and equipment utilisation in schedules. The specialist will prepare and communicate site physicals for annual budget and monthly forecast processes, providing rolling medium term forecasts and budgets for the operation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimise production output and resource allocation.
\
2. Prepare detailed site physicals for annual budget and forecasting processes.
\
3. Provide regular forecasts and budgets for operational management.
\
4. Collaborate with technical services, maintenance and mine operations personnel on deliverables for medium/long term schedules.
\
5. Assist and mentor junior members of the technical services team as required.
\
6. Evaluate and ensure all designs/schedules comply with relevant safety, statutory requirements, and legislation.
\
7. Identify hazards and incidents and participate in investigations as required.
\
8. Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes where possible.
